Roger WORROD (Wuzzy) > Chinese Moslem Supper. Just 50 metres away from the Red Wall Hotel, this was my favourite meal in Beijing. Chinese Moslem owners, poor as church mice, they were the ones who turned over one of their two rooms to a Christian Iranian refugee family who had been living on the streets... the father had finally received a permit to travel to Sweden where the family hoped to start a new life. In my travel diary I talked a lot about the warmth and kindness of the Chinese family, who welcomed me back like an old friend when I came through Beijing in April on my way home.
