After crossing the border, I had the whole carriage to myself... except for the Chinese attendants, who made the most of vacant compartments to get a good night's (or day's) kip

Roger WORROD (Wuzzy) > Lake Baikal, through double glazing: as always, spit and polish on (my) the inside, variable outside, but long-term grime trapped between the two layers of glass. Fiddling with the focus, helped a bit - certainly more effective than trying to 'see through' the grimy foreground with my video camera!
