Roger WORROD (Wuzzy) > There's a separate album for the Engine Rooms.JPG In spite of all the modern technology involved, below decks the ship gets very very warm. Especially when the outside seawater is about 28°C, then the space between the engines is like a sauna and surfaces are hot enough to burn you.
Roger WORROD (Wuzzy) > Engine Rooms 3a.JPG It's not easy to get your hands dirty down here. Most things are enclosed... and those that aren't are quickly rubbed down with a clean rag. Although you could fry an egg on the top of the 'thing' I'm leaning against.

But control rooms seem to be interchangeable nowadays; this is very similar to the Dreher brewery in Budapest; the laundry that serves the hotel industry in the Canton de Vaud... and it's not all that different from the Control Lab of the Pilot Plant at Courtaulds in Coventry in 1959!
